TAD organizes sporting events and social activities for Deaf individuals in the Greater Toronto Area. It is widely recognized for its strong team presence in various Canadian and Ontario sporting tournaments. In addition, TAD hosts an annual ball that draws attendees from across Ontario. Other popular social events include picnics, corn roasts, hayrides, dances, and various family-friendly activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The origins and history of the association goes back to 1929, when it was originally called the&nbsp;<em>Silent Athletic Club<\/em>&nbsp;and held meetings above a second-hand store on Church Street in Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Like many organizations, TAD holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each fall, open to all members. During the AGM, seven members are elected to form the Board of Directors, which meets monthly to plan events and address organizational matters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls
